Tennis requires high-quality equipment and accessories to make sure performance is up to par. Whether you’re training, practicing, or playing a tournament, great accessories make your tournament or training session the best it can be.
Often, one accessory that’s easily overlooked is a proper pair of socks to wear with your tennis shoes.
There is nothing worse than being in the middle of a tournament or high-intensity training session and you find that your socks are falling down, getting bunched up, or don’t provide you with enough support.
If your ideal solution is wearing a pair of socks designed specifically for tennis, then a great pair to go with is Adidas Traxion Single No Show Tennis socks.
Adidas Tennis Traxion No Show socks: Features and Benefits
Who knew a pair of socks could hold so many handy features that enhance comfort and abilities? Adidas Tennis Traxion No Show sock is packed full of awesome features to give you confidence and your feet will be comfortable, supported, and stable in your tennis shoe.
These features and benefits include:
• Targeted cushion zones in the toe, heel, and ball of foot – keeps your feet comfortable where you tend to put the most weight/pressure when moving on the court
• ClimaLite moisture wicking properties – keeps your feet cool and dry so you don’t have to worry about your feet slipping in your sock/shoe
• Traxion Heal – maybe the best feature! Help reduce foot slippage so you can move precisely and efficiently on the court
• Lightweight compression – for additional foot support and performance enhancement
• Specific left/right foot fit – provides a more precise fit for optimal comfort in your tennis show
• Heal tabs – helps keep the sock from slipping and falling down, and reduces rubbing on your Achilles tendon. No more blisters!
Pros – What To Like
There is so much to like about Adidas Tennis Traxion No Show sock. Namely, all of the benefits listed above live up to its description and do indeed provide extreme comfort. The cushioned areas of the sock provide comfort but are not overly bulky to the point your foot feels too tight or smashed into your sneaker.
The sock remains tight on your feet because of its compression technology so your feet aren’t slipping around inside of your shoes. For instance, the Traxion heals allows me to move around the court very efficiently.
When having to move quickly to get the ball or stop abruptly, I was never concerned about slipping. There are a lot of sudden foot movements and pivots while playing tennis, so the fact I have control over the foot movement without the fear of slippage is awesome.
I am a huge fan of heel tabs, so this feature was great as well. I think heals tabs are great in helping the sock from not falling and getting bunched up in your sneaker and these heal tabs work very well.
With all of the movement on the court, the heel tabs also did a great job at reducing the rubbing on my Achilles tendon. Some tennis sneakers can rub a lot on the tendon so getting a pair of these socks will reduce or eliminate that issue.
Cons – What NOT To Like
There isn’t too much not to like, however, there is always room for improvement in every product. With the Adidas Tennis Traxion No Show sock, I would love for more color options.
Currently, there are only two color choices, black and red or white and gray.
These color options are fine, but some fun colors, especially for the female tennis player, would be fun and more interesting.
Price. These socks run about $10-$12 for only one single pair of socks, which is a bit high. You would most likely need multiple pairs of these socks and that can get pricey if you are buying more than a pair or two.
Adidas Tennis Traxion No Show socks are a product that are highly recommend to any tennis player, whether they play for recreation or play seriously.
Despite the lack of color options and price, these socks provide everything you need in a sock to give you support and confidence on the court.
